BBF Beer Club terms and conditions

1. Who we are
The BBF Beer Club is a service provided by BEER EVENTS, S.L. (“Beer Events”), tax ID (CIF) B65812901, with registered address at calle Aragó, 4-6, escalera izquierda, 4.º 2.ª, 08015 Barcelona, Spain, and registered in the Spanish Companies Register (Registro Mercantil de Barcelona: volume 43231, folio 57, sheet 428166, entry 1).

2. What the Club is
The BBF Beer Club is a monthly subscription. Each month you will receive a box from a brewery selected by the Barcelona Beer Festival team, containing 7 beers and a gift from the brewery, and you will have access to that month’s online content (the brewery’s story, beer information sheets and a video).
Your subscription also gives you access to the benefits and discounts published on the Club website. These may change during the year and are subject to the conditions of each event or shop.
3. Who can subscribe
The Club is only open to people aged 18 or over. By subscribing you confirm that you are. The box will be handed to an adult: the courier may ask for proof of identity and will not deliver it to anyone under 18.
4. Price and payment
The price is €42.50 per month, VAT included. This includes delivery to mainland Spain and the Balearic Islands.
Payment is by card through Stripe, which processes it securely. Beer Events does not store your card details.
You are not charged when you subscribe. Your first payment is taken on the 1st of the month after you sign up and then on the 1st of every month. Each payment covers that month’s box. You will receive a receipt for every payment by email.
Promotional codes apply under the conditions of each promotion.
If we change the price, we will email you at least 30 days in advance and you can cancel, at no cost, before the new price applies.
5. If a payment fails
If we cannot take the monthly payment, the charge will be retried and we will email you so you can update your card. That month’s box will not be shipped until the payment has gone through. If the payment still cannot be completed after the retries, the subscription may be cancelled.
6. Delivery
Boxes are shipped before the 10th of each month. Each box is sent directly by that month’s brewery from its own premises, using the courier the brewery chooses.
We only ship to mainland Spain and the Balearic Islands. For other destinations, email info@barcelonabeerfestival.com before subscribing.
The box is sent to the address on your subscription on the 1st of each month. You can change it at any time in the customer portal.
If your box arrives damaged or incomplete, email us as soon as possible at info@barcelonabeerfestival.com, with photos if you can, and we will replace it or refund you. This does not limit your rights under the statutory guarantee of conformity.
7. Duration and cancellation
The subscription runs indefinitely and has no minimum term. You can cancel at any time, at no cost and with no penalty:
- in the customer portal, where you can also change your card and address, or
- by emailing info@barcelonabeerfestival.com.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for. If you cancel before the 1st, you will not be charged again. A box for a month that has already been charged will still be sent.
Beer Events may cancel a subscription in the event of non-payment or fraudulent use. If we ever decide to stop offering the Club, we will give you at least 30 days’ notice and you will not be charged again.
8. Right of withdrawal
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 calendar days without giving any reason. The period ends 14 calendar days after the day on which you, or a person you have named other than the courier, receive the first box.
To exercise this right, tell us your decision in a clear statement, for example by emailing info@barcelonabeerfestival.com. You may use the model form at the end of this page, but you do not have to. It is enough to send your message before the period ends.
If you withdraw, we will refund all payments received from you without undue delay and in any case within 14 calendar days of the day you tell us. The refund will be made using the same payment method you used, at no cost to you. We may withhold the refund until we have received the goods back or you have provided proof of having returned them, whichever comes first.
You must return the goods without delay and in any case within 14 calendar days of telling us your decision, to the address we will give you. You bear the direct cost of returning the goods. You are only liable for any loss in value of the goods resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to check their nature and characteristics.
For health protection and hygiene reasons, bottles or cans that have been opened or unsealed cannot be returned.
9. Club content
Each month’s information sheets, texts and videos are for Club members’ personal use. They may not be reproduced or shared for commercial purposes without permission.
10. Personal data
Beer Events is the controller of your personal data. We process your name, email address, phone number, delivery address and subscription details to manage your sign-up, payments, deliveries and customer service. The legal basis is the performance of the subscription contract.
To provide the service, your data is shared with: Stripe, which handles payments and receipts; and each month’s brewery and the courier it uses, which receive only your name, delivery address and phone number in order to deliver your box.
We keep your data for as long as your subscription lasts and, after that, for the periods required by law. You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability by emailing info@beer-events.com, and you can lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD). 11. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we will email you at least 30 days in advance. If you do not agree, you can cancel at no cost before the changes take effect.
12. Governing law and complaints
These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you have any problem, email us at info@barcelonabeerfestival.com and we will try to resolve it. As a consumer, you may bring proceedings before the courts of your place of residence.
